We’re continuing to raise funds to finish renovating our new and larger Refugee Sewing Center. With your gift, we can empower more refugee women in Nashville with the skills and community they need to help them succeed.

We’re getting close! The walls are framed in and new shelves went up just this past week. There’s plenty left to do, but we’re making great progress and with your help we can finish soon.

Our sewing program, called Sew For Hope, teaches refugee women in Nashville sewing and business skills side-by-side with Christian volunteers.

Our current classroom space is very small; we can only serve a handful of women each semester and the waiting list keeps growing. To date, over 250 women have graduated the program, received their certificate, and a new sewing machine.

Many have found jobs earning much needed income for their families. And many of them have been sewing masks during this pandemic for local emergency responders, clinics, and businesses.

With your gift, we will be a step closer to finishing our new sewing center that will serve more women, host more classes, and involve more volunteers.

Thank you!
