Elizabeth spent two months of her summer break from college teaching English and helping out with various refugee projects in Athens. She was able to form deep friendships and make great friends. She left part of her heart in Athens with her new refugee friends and family.

  1. What keeps you up at night? Things I haven’t gotten done yet.
  2. What’s a book you’ve read recently? “The Oath” by Frank Peretti.
  3. What’s on your iPod? Ben Howard, The Head and the Heart, The Civil Wars, George Ezra, Josh Garrels, and others.
  4. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? I went cliff jumping once – it didn’t end well.
  5. Describe yourself in three words. I love turtles.
  6. What’s one thing you’ve learned from living overseas that you’ll never forget? The whereabouts of your heart become more and more complicated.

  8. Favorite comfort food? French fries and tapioca pudding
  9. Favorite drink? Hot Irish Breakfast Tea
  10. Pet peeve? People moving my things around
  11. Favorite sport to watch? Figure skating

  13. What did you want to be when you were a kid? A dragon rider
  14. If you had a free hour to do anything you could, what would it be? Fly
  15. First job? Nannying

  19. What one thing do you miss most from the U.S.? Speaking the same language as most of the population
  20. If you were a piece of furniture, what would you be and why? A table because it’s where we eat food.
