Chrissie is a mother of 4 and the life of the party. She and her family spent two months in Greece partnering with our refugee friends to feed the hungry, to entertain kids, and to love those dealing with grief and trauma past and present. She’s fun, crazy, and a real person. Here are 20 questions from Chrissie!

20 Questions

  1. What keeps you up at night? Fear of disappointing people (forgetting a conversation or appointment, stressing about said event, stressing after said event– did I say the right things?)
  2. What’s on your ipod? Way too much music!
  3. What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? Traveling to Athens, Greece with four children under age 12.
  4. Describe yourself in three words. Mother. Enthusiastic. Follower.
  5. What’s one thing you’ve learned from living overseas that you’ll never forget? It’s hard with young kids. So much TOGETHERNESS. 🙂
  6. First website you access in the morning? ugh. Facebook.
  7. Must have app on your phone? Instagram.
  8. If you had a theme song, what would it be? “All Ye Refugees” by Sandra McCracken. I’ve never longed for my eternal home as much as I have of late, where ALL things will be set right.
  9. Favorite comfort food? Gyros. Greek gyros. From now on and forever.
  10. Favorite sport to watch? American Football… the NFL.
  11. Favorite time of day? Mid-morning.
  12. If you had a free hour to do anything you could, what would it be? READ.
  13. First job? TJ Maxx Employee
  14. Favorite movie? Pitch Perfect
  15. First album/CD you bought?  How about a cassette tape? Sheesh…. Amy Grant’s “Heart in Motion”.
  16. If you could read anyone’s mind, who’s would it be? My children’s. I know that’s plural, but it would help me be a better mother.
  17. What brings you the greatest joy? My family being on an adventure together.
  18. What one thing do you miss most from the U.S.? My church.
  19. What’s the most important room in your home? My living room.
  20. If you were a piece of furniture, what would you be and why? A kitchen table. So many beautiful conversations happen there.
